Lang Lang's fist performance in the China National Gymnasium in Beijing

Over 10 thousand people came to listen to Lang Lang's concert in the China National Gymnasium. Lang Lang played Chopin Piano Concert No. 1, Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue, Yellow River Concerto and Stars which Lang Lang performed at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games Opening Ceremony. Lang Lang ended the program with a Chinese traditional piece.

Music Of The Spheres - Special Edition

A special edition of 'Music of the Spheres' is set to be released on 24th November. This release is a double disc album which includes a bonus disc of the 'Live at the Guggenheim' performance that occurred on 7th March 2008 in Bilbao. This is the first time the 'Live at the Guggenheim' performance has been available on CD.
Lang Lang appears throughout the album, which sees Mike Oldfield also collaborate with the highly respected Karl Jenkins as well as special guest appearances by Hayley Westenra on the vocal piece 'On My Heart'. Oldfield has drawn upon the best the Classical world has to offer for this unique album.

Superstar pianist Lang Lang returns to Symphony Center for three unique performances in one weekend this November!
On Friday and Saturday, November 14th and 15th, Lang Lang will be featured in chamber works with musicians from the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and will perform solo piano works from the Western tradition, as well as selections from his album, Dragon Songs.
Tickets start at just $15 and $25.
Lang Lang will also sign CDs after his performance on November 14th and his afternoon performance on November 15th!

Partnering with The Recording Academy and UNICEF, The Lang Lang International Music Foundation announced its launch with an opening event at Town Hall for children on Monday Oct. 20th, 2008. The event, attended by New York area school children, fans and supporters of the foundation, featured solo performances by Lang Lang and the 3 young winners of the first piano study scholarships awarded by LLIMF.

Free Performance for New York City Children at the Town Hall in Manhattan on Monday, October 20, 2008
Lang Lang is appointed Ambassador of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS). This special Partnership is designed to expose more children to classical music and provide scholarships to exceptionally talented piano students.
Lang Lang, 26, has created the Foundation to enrich the lives of children through a deeper understanding and enjoyment of classical music and to inspire and financially support the next generation of musicians through target outreach and educational programs.
Venue: The Town Hall, 123 WEST 43rd Street, New York City
Time: 11:00am - 1:00pm (doors open at 10:15am.)
This is a free concert for school children of New York. Space is extremely limited and allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
Made possible in part by the GRAMMY Foundation in partnership with the Starkey Hearing Foundation.
